Cornices and Water Proofing

We have cornices & waterproofing in the wet areas!

But before we get into those pics, I just have to share this shot I got last week!  Very appropriate given the name of our little street.....

Ok, now on to the latest!  Cornices!  95% completed in 1 day - not bad, doesn't look like it would have been much of a fun job.

Hopefully by next visit, our doors will be on as well as architraves and skirting.  The skylight in our ensuite is also due next week however with this wet weather we've been having it will probably be pushed back a week.

Karla its looking fantastic....cannot wait to see your next stage! I have a question about your bricks... are they a face brick? Are you able to take a photo of them for me? I really like the colour but want to see them in the real. Did they cost you much to upgrade?

And have you noticed much waste or chipping???? We are trying to find a brick we like without having to pay crazy upgrade prices.. one we liked was an extra 32K to upgrade.. wayyyyy too much!

Cass, yes they are face bricks - they're called Gravel by PGH and cost only $800 to upgrade. Quite reasonable. $32K - woah!!

We're really happy with the bricks. The brickies said they were quite brittle so broke quite a few when bricking but now that they're up, there's not been any chipping or anything.

I've got quite a few pics including a close up here: http://karry327.blogspot.com/2011/04/hellooooo-gorgeous.html

I hope that helps :)

Thanks for the link... I really like the colour. We were looking at Chocolatto which is a bit darker. We were also quoted $800 for the chocolatto or expresso which are in the same range. We don't want to pay a fortune for bricks but want a nice look... your bricks look fantastic... seems like you are having a good run with EB... we are almost close to a final tender which is good. Due to a few failures of our sales guy, EB are trying to mop up a few of the problems and have compensated us in some areas.. small things but still counts...
